Blackpool Illuminations

For the very first time, the Blackpool Illuminations display has been extended until 2021 and if you’re looking for accommodation as part of your visit to Blackpool, we are the perfect choice.

The Illuminations are a famous spectacle that everyone should see at least once. The Blackpool Illuminations enthral millions of visitors every year. It is the greatest free light show on earth and has been a major part of Blackpool’s attraction since 1879 when they were described as ‘Artificial Sunshine’.

This year, the Blackpool Illumination are a little different. The annual display is to be extended by two months to provide an invaluable boost to the resort’s tourism season after COVID-19.

To help with social-distancing, a one-way system will be in place at busy times for those walking through the illuminated tableaux section at North Shore. To do this, head to Red Bank Road (at the end of the lights) and walk north to south.

Blackpool Beach

There’s nothing quite like a day at the seaside, and Blackpool is one of the best beach resorts you will find in the UK. It was even recently awarded its first ever Blue Flag, putting it on par with other world-renowned sites including the Mediterranean Sea and the Pacific coastline.
